March 2010 - The Asian Group BAC now has its own website - this excellent resource will be very helpful to breeders, stewards and judges of the breed as it offers downloads of various important items such as the Standard of Points, Registration and Breeding Policies, and the various forms and information relevant to candidates on the stewarding and judging schemes. The site is at asiangroupbac.co.uk
If you're visiting any of the following shows, look out for the AGCS Club Stall, run by Doris Bubb-Porter and Alan Porter. The stall has a range of goods for sale including keyrings, pens, cat toys etc, plus plenty of information on the breed and details of currently available kittens. See the stall next at the Bedford & District Show (April 24th, Wood Green Animal Shelters, Godmanchester, Cambridgeshire) and the Suffolk & Norfolk Cat club Show (May 15th, same venue).
February 2009 - We would like to ask our members to take a look at a proposed Asian Breeding Policy - this has been drawn up as a consultation document, prior to finalisation by the Asian Group Breed Advisory Committee. We hope to be able to discuss this at the forthcoming AGM.
January 2009 - Members are reminded that annual subscriptions are now due - please send to the Treasurer (Thomas Goss)
The AGM will be held on Saturday 28th February 2009, at Bingley Hall, The County Showground, Stafford. Items for the agenda or committee nominations should reach the Secretary by 31st January.
May 2008 - Our show was very successful and it was good to see so many of the Foreign breeds together - plans are already under way for next year's show which will be on January 10th 2009 at Stoneleigh Park, near Coventry. In addtion to the AGCS, Rex Cat Association, Singapura Cat Club & Korat Cat Association, the venue will also be shared with the Short-Haired Cat Society, and cats can be entered in this show as well, giving the opportunity to win 2 Certificates on the day - an exciting prospect!
February 2008 - a Rehoming page has now been added to our website. If you are looking for an older Asian, please check this page regularly. We currently have several adult neuters in need of new homes so do check out the new page!
The updated version of the GCCF Asian Standards of Points is now available to download - please see the Resources page.
Enquiries about the Club should be directed to the Hon. Secretary. For all welfare enquiries, please contact Sarndra Devereux.
